Romblon Yacht Club is pleased to announce the third year of the Romblon 3 Island Challenge to be held on Friday 15th, Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th of April 2016 (rescheduled from the originally planned dates in June 2016).  The challenge again will be around the three islands in close proximity to beautiful Romblon Harbour, and the reason that it called a challenge is because each of the competitors has to decide which way they will go in a figure of eight around all three of the islands, Logbon, Alad and Cobrador, approximately 17 nautical miles.  All competitors will be starting and finishing at a common start and finish line.  It is quite a challenge to decide which way to go and each competitor has to inform the race committee, in private, of their decision on which way they will go prior to the race starting.  Many natural factors have to be taken into consideration for the decision on which way to go, such as wind and tide directions and speed.  You can read an article about the first challenge by going to an Active Boating and Watersports download at  —
